I saw Pamala Oslie speak today -- this girl is right up my alley!
She's talking about how parallel universes work (see the title of my CD -- duh!)
Really great workshop. She also spoke earlier about our aura colors --
she said I'm a Violet -- here to save the world, thinking on a larger
platform, I'm on step 50 when everyone's trying to get to step 10...
I LIKE IT!! Made me buy her book - Life Colors -- and take the quiz
therein. I found out my secondary color is Green.
Fritz took the quiz too -- he is Violet and second color is Indigo.
This explains everything.

10/23 - 10/24/09

Showed a very interesting film at Center of the Heart Friday and Saturday --
"The Shadow Effect" by Debbie Ford (New York Times best-selling
author of Secret of the Shadow, Dark Side of the Light Chasers,
Why Good People Do Bad Things). Created by fellow filmmaker Mikki Wills
of Elevate Films, distributed by Louise Hay. I have to admit I didn't
like it the first time around -- maybe it wasn't what I expected.
The second night, since I had no expectations, I was really able to
dig into the message and see how it applies in my life.
Made a difference for me! I am different today because of it!
The power of film...

10/9/09

I am hosting a talk by Lisa Star today at Center of the Heart.
She explains to us the Mayan calendar, the 260-day calendar,
and a type of "astrology" that they used. Very fascinating --
you don't hear information about the Mayan Calendar ANYWHERE!
That's because so much of this information is lost.
I discovered I am a White Lunar Dog, which is about love, loyalty and
the relationship between two. I am also considered a 'portal' through
which others pass for true realignment and transformation,
because I am born on a portal day. Wow.
See Lisa Star's website at ResonantTruth.com

10/1/09

Wonderful, wonderful day! Out of the blue, Jon Anderson sends us
an amazing new richly textured and layered vocal track that
would go on top of all the layers we already have going --
but it sounds incredible! He is a true musical GENIUS!!
We are excited that he is inspired with these new ideas --
the concept is to turn our Trance-Dance album into a sequel of
his solo album "Olias of Sunillow". It is beginning to harken back more
to that era. This means we will be re-working the entire album yet
AGAIN, and it will not be released till next Spring the earliest...
BUT we are confident it's going to be just that much more amazing!!
YAY!!

9/28/09

I am taking a Visioning class at Center of the Heart, based on Rev. Michael
Beckwith's Visioning process. Instead of setting an intention for your life
or visualizing a desire, Visioning is about asking Spirit to provide the answers,
and then listening in the stillness for the meaning of your life's purpose.
I am definitely feeling a shift already, even though this is just the 3rd class...

9/21/09

Happy Equinox! Been so busy, I haven't sent my usual newsletter in a LONG time!
Today we were down in San Diego, meeting with David Ward to see if he'd
be willing to write the screenplay for our theatrical film. It was a scene
directly out of a Hollywood movie, where reality mimics art!
David was resistant, telling us we don't have a story, we don't have
a story. Finally, we asked him how he would write it, and he began
weaving a character study, which very coincidentally (synchronistically)
was right in line with the actual history we wanted to present. At one point,
he jumped up, excited, and described the villain (Nero) and the struggle
of the two main characters -- it was truly beautiful to behold!
So we now have a story, and David has agreed to write it.
YAY! Couldn't have gone better!!

9/17/09

Woo-hoo!! We have a telephone conference with noted
screenwriter David Ward today -- he wrote The Sting, Major League,
co-wrote Sleepless in Seattle, and many other VERY successful
Hollywood films. He was convinced we didn't have a story
in the scholarly work we are trying to present, but he agreed to
meet with us in person on Monday to discuss.
That's half the battle -- whoopee!!!

9/14/09

My favorite - Sara Lov is playing at SoHo tonight! Would you believe --
she is accompanying herself with a record player. Very clever!
There it is inside the suitcase in this photo:

More photos HERE.
I definitely have a special place in my heart for Sara,
who studied voice with me for many years...

9/11/09

I did a special 9/11 screening of Wayne Dyer's film "The Shift"
at Center of the Heart tonight --
hadn't seen it in over 6 months and it is just such a great film.
I got something totally different out of it this time, as I'm
in a whole different place now than I was 6 months ago...
Highly recommended.

9/10/09

Lovely pre-Halloween fundraiser tonight at Pepper House for non-profit
Jodi House Brain Injury Support Center -- we were the guests of good
friends Todd & Tricia Mills. The theme was dead composers,
and they did a wonderful job of creating interest in their
upcoming Halloween gala -- very charming in that neat old house...

9/5/09

We are in Cambria this weekend for our 12th wedding anniversary.
It's wonderful getting together with old friends and visiting the
old stomping grounds... We had dinner with composer
Danny Pelfrey and his charming lady Nancy, introduced to us by our
dear friends Laylon and John Whitaker of The Vault Gallery.
Ahhhhhhhh -- feels good to be loved...

8/24/09

Today I had the chance to put some of my voiceover skills to use.
I wrote and recorded a narration for a trailer, from the point of
view of the beautiful Jewish/Roman princess Berenice.
This will illustrate the type of production we are focusing on making
to prospective investors. Fritz edited together a good-looking
"sizzle reel" with his usual amazing dramatic music, and
we were very pleased with the results -- great FUN!

8/23/09

A big day at Center of the Heart - I facilitate the service
as Dr. Lloyd Tupper is our speaker. Dr. Kathy Hearn, head of all
of the United Centers for Spiritual Living is in the audience today,
as well as Dr. Greg Toole, also from home office.
For more info, see

More ash falling in Santa Barbara, but not from a local fire this time.
The La Brea fire, east of Santa Maria, started on Aug. 8th and
has burned over 36,000 acres so far. Looks like it's picking
up today, and the winds are picking up, bringing the bad air
quality our way - must close our windows...

8/10/09

Got my latest Conscious Creatives newsletter sent out today.
Read it HERE!

8/7 - 8/8/09

Was in Chicago to help my elderly mom - just got back last night.
Today was the Fiesta Parade downtown, a lovely afternoon bash at a
friend's, and in the evening I showed "2012: The Movie" at Center of the Heart.
We had Lisa Star, clairvoyant and Mayan Calendar expert, and
Thomas Razzeto, expert on the astronomy of 2012, speak before the film
and answer questions after. Did it both Friday and Saturday nights -
very interesting, informative, and hopeful.
Some of the scientists Fritz and I worked with in Egypt -
Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval -
were in this film and offered the best perspectives, IMHO.

7/9/09

Sent out my first newsletter for the
Conscious Creatives network today --
check it out HERE!

6/22/09

Attended c3's Open House at The Brewery tonight --
I was officially introduced as the new Community Manager
of the social networking arm of this wonderful think-tank.
The presentation was for next June's State of the Arts
Symposium held in conjunction with LA Opera's
Wagnerian Ring Cycle Festival.
Will be exciting!

6/20/09

Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Parade --
need I say more?!

6/19/09

We attended an extensive exhibit of Bob Marley and reggae memorabilia,
at the grand opening of the Music Preservation Project on APS.
Created in 2001, this display represents an enticing slice of
Roger Steffens' Reggae Archives, the world's largest collection
of reggae-related items. The Archives in their entirety contain:

25,000 concert posters and flyers
25,000 artist photographs
10,000 unreleased live recordings
9,000 Vinyl Records, many signed by the artists
4,500 reggae CDs
3,000 reggae buttons and badges
2,000 hours of rare video
1,100 t-shirts
120 cubic feet of news articles
+ thousands of additional collectors' items
!!!
AND -- we were very fortunate to walk around the collection
while listening to Roger's personal anecdotes about many of the pieces.
WOW.

6/14/09

We had a guest speaker at Center of the Heart today,
as I was hosting service -- her name is Rev. Marilyn Miller and,
among her many impressive accomplishments, she used to be the
head of the CalArts Theatre School. She paid me a HUGE
compliment in front of the entire congregation, commending me on
what a professional and amazing presenter I am.
Shucks. I feel my career path SHIFTING -- getting back more into
acting/theater/presentation, which I enjoyed so much in my youth...
only in a differentway at this time of my life -- combining it with my love of
spiritual growth, exploration, and development. Why not?!
I seem to be getting much encouragement in this direction, and
the music path seems to be quite stalled these days...

6/11/09

Today I received a copy of a book called "Creating Charisma"
written by a voice student of mine, Gia Brainerd, whom I taught many many
LONG years ago... She had since trained to become a hypnotist,
interviewed ME for this book, and there are
a full SIX good quotes from me contained therein!
You can read them HERE.

6/5-6/6/09

Showing Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life" film at
Center of the Heart. What an inspirational, well-done, entertaining,
and informative film -- and we had a nice turnout too!!

6/3/09

As fate would have it -- one good thing leads to another!
Have been feeling overextended and exhausted with all my activities at
Center of the Heart as of late: Core Council meetings,
special events, movie nights, and my Sunday service hosting...
Besides having serious matters to handle for my elderly folks...
I decided to let go of the Core Council, but what fate had in store for me --
ta-DAH!!! I am now the Community Manager for the exciting
artistic new social networking website:

consciouscreatives.net
Woo-HOOOOOO!!!

5/31/09

A Benefit at Center of the Heart today --
for the victims of the fire. Many wonderful bands played
including Hot Blast Florence, with lovely vocals by Melissa Ramsey,
and Dreamtime Continuum featuring our friend Montino on sarod
and Sudama on guitar and vocals. They also had a hoop dancer!

5/30/09

Today we were invited to a high school reunion of the American
School in Mexico City that Fritz had attended. It was at the spectacular
oceanfront home of his dear friends, Mark & Valerie Maldonado.
We jammed -- Fritz on guitar, Michael Love on piano,
Tina Love on flamenco dancing, Brandon Scott on magic tricks, and I sang.
Special guest was Alan Parsons:

We also enjoyed meeting Alan's lovely wife, Lisa (not in photo :-( ).
A good time was had by all!

5/27/09

Fritz drove out to meet with Jon Anderson this afternoon.
He came home to give me the report -- we're releasing the album
next week, before Jon leaves on tour. YAY!!

5/25/09

Met with our new business partner at his home in Montecito,
to discuss a possible production based on research he's written
up extensively in manuscript form. Afterwards, we are joined
by a host of friends and family for yet another wonderful
and thoroughly enjoyable long holiday weekend fete...

5/24/09

Were invited to a lovely garden party on the vast lawn of a
Montecito mansion that used to belong to Robert Mitchum --
a replica of "Gone With the Wind's" Tara...
Our hosts were utterly lovely and gracious, we
enjoyed all their guests, Fritz jammed guitar while others
played along or drummed, and a lovely long holiday weekend
afternoon was had by all!

5/23/09

Jon Anderson mentioned the music he produced with
Fritz on Facebook today! It created quite a buzz and people are
really responding positively. We must be patient and
await the right people and the right time for its release...

5/17/09

The entire community of Santa Barbara has been in a state of
fatigue and mild depression all week, I think, as we clean up from the
disaster and survey the damage. I have had my share of personal
stresses in the lives of each of my elderly parents
(who live alone separately)... It was a perfect day to curl up
with the newest CD from Sara Lov -- one of my favorite voice
students, whom she still thanks for mentoring her...
Beautiful languid album which you can hear HERE!

5/10/09

What an infernal week it was -- literally. I've been hosting the
metaphysical service at Center of the Heart fairly regularly now and
was doing it this morning. Very few people showed up, as many
are still evacuated. The Center was in an Evacuation zone, but this
morning it's just under Evacuation Warning. We are the only center open
in this area today, and in fact, the Center has never closed since its inception
in the 1940's.

I heard many stories this morning -- our soundman, Les Kahn, lost
his house, his recording studio, all his master recordings of everything
he ever worked on, his entire music collection, and the PA
equipment he needs to make his living. Our keyboard player,
George Friedenthal, told a miraculous story of evidence that the
firefighters worked hard to save his house -- the wooden deck was burnt
up, the patio furniture was burnt or flung afar, the shake awnings were
ripped from his windows, but the house is standing.
His was the house we were all praying for!

5/7/09

Very grateful to all our friends who called offering us a place to stay.
Sheriff called twice to let us know we are under Evacuation
Warning, so we are packed in case we have to go.
The news is subdued and we are feeling like this could be over soon --
we continue to pray, especially for our friends, whose very street
was shown on the TV news, ablaze! We can see a thick plume of
smoke behind the ridge above us -- seems to be coming towards us,
so we have to close all the windows again. Unbearably hot,
101º at the airport, 91º on our indoor thermostat...
Experienced power outage yesterday...

10 PM - the winds shifted direction this evening, but are
stronger and more violent than ever! We are lucky -- the fire moved
away from us, but it jumped over Hwy. 154 and is decimating Goleta now,
after moving from Mission Canyon through San Roque - just horrible!
2/3 of Santa Barbara is evacuated, and the fire has touched
half of the city's neighborhoods...
We've opened all the windows and don't care that ash is blowing
in everywhere -- just can't bare the suffocating heat anymore,
and the huge winds are cooling off the interior of our house nicely!

5/5/09

Uh-oh -- another fire has broken out here in Mission Canyon.
We have friends there, and start praying that their house is spared.
We are close enough to have smoke coming in our house
through gaps in the window frames -- windows are closed, but it's awfully
hot in here -- 85º on our indoor thermostat. We're getting secured,
in case of necessary evacuation again!
Power outages at major intersections and stores...
Staying glued to the TV coverage...

5/2/09

Our wonderful, bright and talented friends, Philip Horvath and
Kate McCallum, have added a new social networking website for
their organization Center for Conscious Creativity (aka c3).
The new website is called ConsciousCreatives.net
and has such a wonderful group of people joining it already!
Click here to see the page I created when I joined...

4/22/09

I was told by the folks at MacMechanics that my computer drive is
KAPUT!!! AIEEEEEEEE!! They refer me to another company
that does expensive data recovery. I am in disbelief.
I asked the repairman to try it again, and then I start saying
my Science of Mind prayers: " I DENY that my data is lost!"
Guess what? It WORKED!!! When I arrived at MacMechanics
at the end of the day, the repairman said when he tried it a second
time, the disk mounted, and he was able to do a data backup on their server.
What a RELIEF!!! What can I say -- prayer WORKS!! ;->

4/21/09

Yikes! A LOT of energy is in the air today --
it's been scorchingly hot for days and apparently my
computer melted down... PRAYING that my data is okay!!

I also just got accepted onto the Core Council for
Center of the Heart! Woo-hoo! This will be a new
life's chapter for me -- a first! Well, I'm sure I'll learn a LOT!!

4/19/09

I have been asked to apply for a position on the Core Council
of Center of the Heart! (That is like being on the Board of
Directors.) Wow, I'm flattered. My artist self has never
served in a position like this before... Am I worthy?! ;->

4/18/09

I liked "The Living Matrix: The Science of Healing"
movie SO much that I decided to show it again tonight.
We had a nice turnout -- most of Santa Barbara's
healing community! GREAT film, really great...

4/12/09

Happy Easter everyone! It was my honor and privilege
to be the host at Center of the Heart
for this auspicious service today.

4/3 - 4/4/09

What a great movie I presented at the Center tonight (if I say so myself)!
I again was able to secure a Santa Barbara film premiere for
"The Living Matrix: The Science of Healing",
a film from inside the latest Revolution in Alternative Healing.
It was well-done, fascinating, and really gives you a whole different
perspective on the amazing miraculous healing mechanism of the body,
which scientists are really just beginning to understand.
If you've gotten the feeling that doctors are just practicing medicine,
you will love this one!!

4/1/09

Ha-HAH!! Fritz and I were flying home from Texas tonight -- we celebrated
Fritz's birthday by visiting his folks -- and who do we run into?!
None other than
Dr. John DeMartini -- who was also in
"The Secret", and who's film "The Compass" I will coincidentally be
screening at our Center in May. He was very cool, easy to talk to,
took an interest, and I am a fan of his teachings, so it was
a very special treat for me!!

3/22/09

I was the guest singer today at Center of the Heart.
I sang "The Rose" with our illustrious musicians, Eje Lynn-Jacobs
on vocal duet, and George Friedenthal on keyboards and providing
3rd part harmony -- very nice!! Then I sang my own song "Sweetest Fruit"
to an instrumental track -- the belly dance groove was fun for the crowd.
Had a great audience -- 90 people!!

3/6 - 3/7/09

I am incredibly proud to have presented yet another Santa Barbara
film premiere this weekend at the Center of the Heart --
Michael Bernard Beckwith's first film entitled
"Spiritual Liberation: Fulfilling Your Soul's Potential",
created by Elevate Films' own Mikki Willis.
(We knew the
Elevate Film Festival back when... way to go, Mikki!)

I started the evening with a short film by Monica Lenches
about the unregulated violence in children's programming,
entitled
"A Kinder World". Here's a shocking statistic:
adult programming shows about 4 acts of violence per hour,
children's programming shows about 140 acts of violence per hour!
The film goes on to show the links between this type of programming
and kids bringing guns to school, as one example...
A very imortant film -- thank you, Monica!

3/1/09

M.C. again at C.o.t.H.
This could get to be a habit!!

2/27/09

Wow! An amazingly artfully presented, elegant, sophisticated,
and incredibly delectable 6-course meal at the home of Jack Mohr and
his beautiful poetess wife Monika. Jack is the proprietor of
ArtAmo Gallery, where our CDs and DVDs are available
for purchase for a limited time.
What an utterly European experience!!

2/25/09

Went to see
Michael Bernard Beckwith speak tonight
(he remembered me and greeted me!) at a
gathering of the
Association for Global New Thought.
Hosted by
Barbara Marx Hubbard, it was a great thought-provoking
evening about integrating your soul's destiny
with the emerging new social order. wow...
A memorable quote from Michael Beckwith:
"Let's not waste a perfectly good crisis!"

2/22/09

My first day as Mistress of Ceremonies at
Center of the Heart -- a great pleasure for meeeeeeeee ---------
Wheeeeeeeeeeee----------

2/21/09

Today I hosted
a study group of
Eckhart Tolle's book "A New Earth".
I got so much out of the
Oprah online seminar with Eckhart
last year, that I can't stop getting deeper and deeper
with this brilliant, amazing work!
My life-long spiritual studies is the reason
I became a
certified Life Coach in 2001.

2/15/09

Heh, heh... The article about Cinema Circles came out today in
the Santa Barbara News-Press. Pretty funny photo of me and various
attendees around the popcorn machine (we were throwing popcorn
into Larry's open mouth!). HUGE photo, though just a tiny
listing of my monthly Spiritual Cinema Night...
Nonetheless, I am most definitely grateful!!

2/14/09

Happy Valentine's Day!
Here's a cute email I passed along today:
"The Installation of Love"
Installing Love on the Human Computer

2/6 - 2/7/09

I am very proud to have presented these two nights at the Center of the Heart,
the Santa Barbara premiere of
Wayne Dyer's new film,
"Ambition to Meaning: Finding Your Life's Purpose".
Did you know
Wayne Dyer is now a filmmaker?!
Yes -- and it's a very good one!
Plus -- the photographer from the
News-Press came and took
photos of us by the popcorn machine -- what fun!!

My friends Bernie & Susan came with Jack whom I met for the first
time on Saturday -- he's the owner of a gorgeous store in
Summerland called
The Sacred Space.

2/5/09

This evening, as part of Santa Barbara's First Thursday Art Walks,
Fritz and I made an appearance at
ArtAmo Gallery on Anapamu.
Fritz regaled the art viewers on flamenco guitar, I showed our
Ritual Path DVD and played my Parallel Universe CD and also sang a little.
ArtAmo Gallery is carryingour products, and for that we are very grateful
to proprietor Jack Mohr.

2/3/09

I've gotten very involved at Center of the Heart here -- a center similar to
Michael Bernard Beckwith's Agape International Center of Truth in Los Angeles. (As you recall, Michael Beckwith was in The Secret, and is a regular now on
Oprah and Larry King -- he was my teacher and married Fritz and me).
I am now the Chairperson of the Spiritual Film Committee at Center of the Heart,
I show spiritual films there on the first weekend of every month,
and for that reason I was interviewed today by the Santa Barbara News-Press. Woo-hoo!!

1/8/09

The New Year is just one week old, and things are already starting to percolate.
I just noticed that an interview with me and Fritz at the Dec. 13, 2008 benefit for Sarah House has been posted on the SBMS Teen Press website,
in the clip called Artizan's Ball. The lighting is rather dim,
but we appear about halfway through the video,
and they kept us on for a good while. Either check out the
website for more information, or view the clip alone by clicking here.
